Buying My Large Size Boots at New Balance
In my opinion, there is no better place to get large size boots than at the New Balance store. I have huge feet – 13 triple wide – so I should know. I don't only need large size shoes, but unusually wide ones as well. For years, I would have to look all over the place for my large size boots. I would go to a shoe store, but after a quick look, would find myself completely out of luck. Maybe, if it was a good day, they would have one or two pairs of large size boots that fit me, but I never had the luxury of getting to chose my shoes like other people did. For me, if I could find one pair of large size boots that were even reasonably comfortable, those would be the boots I would have to take because they would be the only ones which would reasonably fit on my enormous feet.
That all changed when I started going to the New Balance outlet store. You see, they specialize in large size boots, and shoes of all kinds. There is a much wider selection of big shoes than at any other store which I have ever seen. Even when I would sometimes go to big and tall stores to try to buy my shoes, they would never really have what I wanted there, and I would have to leave in despair. They would have a few pairs of large size boots, but usually only dressy ones, and not in irregular widths like I needed. It was so frustrating to have feet so big and wide that even most stores that claimed to specialize in large size boots could do nothing at all to fit them.
The only thing that I don't like about buying my large size boots at New Balance is that a lot of their shoes are pretty plain and ugly. Whereas many of the other shoe companies pride themselves on making new, stylish shoes, it is like New Balance forgets appearance all together. The only time that I've seen when this was not true was when ugly, grayish-brown, clunky shoes came in to style briefly. Suddenly, my large size boots were the hippest thing in town. What a strange day that was! It is not every day that ugly is pretty, and the guy who can only buy th jumbo shoes for his enormous, square feet is a star!
